Artwork Description

Inspired by the quiet magic of evening along the shoreline, Drift of Dusk captures a moment suspended between day and night.
The resting boat becomes a symbol of gentle pause, of journeys completed, delayed, or still waiting to begin.
Soft washes of blue, grey, and gold reflect the fading light, while textured grasses ground the scene in calm solitude.
This painting draws from memories of peaceful coastal walks, salt-tinged air, and that reflective hush that arrives as the sun slips low, inviting stillness, contemplation, and a sense of quiet belonging.

Artist Bio

From an early age, I was drawn to creative expression, discovering my passion for art as soon as I could hold a crayon.
I pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Art Education in Ukraine, which laid the foundation for my artistic and teaching career.
After relocating to Australia in 2002, I continued to develop my practice and actively sought opportunities to exhibit my work.
I have since participated in various art prizes and exhibited in local galleries, while also sharing my knowledge through teaching, both in my home studio and within the school community attended by my children.
For me, art is more than a passion; it is a lifelong journey of exploration, growth, and connection. Through both my creative practice and teaching, I aim to inspire others to experience the joy and transformative power of art. My work has allowed me to engage with audiences locally on the Gold Coast and internationally, reinforcing my belief in creativity as a universal language that enriches lives.
