Embracing the warmth of the sun

Being a lover of warm sunshine, I’ve created a few paintings inspired by the brightness and life-giving light of the sun. This particular piece is a tribute to the way nature seems to dance beneath its golden glow.

In this painting, I wanted to capture the luscious abundance of a thriving tropical garden — the way every leaf, vine, and petal seems to stretch itself outward with joy, reaching eagerly towards the warmth. The sun doesn’t just shine; it nourishes, energizes, and awakens. You can almost feel the slow motion of growth happening before your eyes.

While painting, I imagined what it might feel like to be part of that paradise — not just an observer, but one of the flowers myself. Carefree, glowing, lovely — gently swaying in the breeze with nothing to do but bask in sunlight and be beautiful.

This work is about surrendering to joy, celebrating natural abundance, and letting yourself bloom fully in the light.

From an early age, I was drawn to creative expression, discovering my passion for art as soon as I could hold a crayon.
I pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Art Education in Ukraine, which laid the foundation for my artistic and teaching career.
After relocating to Australia in 2002, I continued to develop my practice and actively sought opportunities to exhibit my work.
I have since participated in various art prizes and exhibited in local galleries, while also sharing my knowledge through teaching, both in my home studio and within the school community attended by my children.
For me, art is more than a passion; it is a lifelong journey of exploration, growth, and connection. Through both my creative practice and teaching, I aim to inspire others to experience the joy and transformative power of art. My work has allowed me to engage with audiences locally on the Gold Coast and internationally, reinforcing my belief in creativity as a universal language that enriches lives.
