Original Artwork's Description

Euphoria of the Depths is a large, textured underwater coralscape created to honour the wonder, colour, and spiritual calm found beneath the surface.
Measuring 120x165cm, this piece offers an immersive experience, inviting to step into a world where light, movement, and life flow together.
My inspiration came from my long-standing fascination with coral reefs — those glowing underwater cities filled with intricate structures, dazzling colours, and creatures that move with effortless harmony. Snorkelling and observing marine life has always sparked my imagination, and this painting grew from that desire to capture the joy and serenity I feel near the ocean.

Bold, layered brushstrokes mimic the organic forms of coral, adding a three-dimensional quality that brings the scene to life. Sun rays filter down through rippling water, casting shimmering patterns of light and shadow that illuminate blues, purples, fiery oranges, and lush greens across the reef. Small, playful fish weave amongst the coral, adding movement and energy to the composition.

Euphoria of the Depths celebrates the vibrancy and balance of marine ecosystems, offering a reminder of their beauty — and the importance of protecting them.

Artist Bio

From an early age, I was drawn to creative expression, discovering my passion for art as soon as I could hold a crayon.
I pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Art Education in Ukraine, which laid the foundation for my artistic and teaching career.
After relocating to Australia in 2002, I continued to develop my practice and actively sought opportunities to exhibit my work.
I have since participated in various art prizes and exhibited in local galleries, while also sharing my knowledge through teaching, both in my home studio and within the school community attended by my children.
For me, art is more than a passion; it is a lifelong journey of exploration, growth, and connection. Through both my creative practice and teaching, I aim to inspire others to experience the joy and transformative power of art. My work has allowed me to engage with audiences locally on the Gold Coast and internationally, reinforcing my belief in creativity as a universal language that enriches lives.
