Indigo, the Mysterious Dark Horse


Meet Indigo, a dark horse with an alluring presence and a one-of-a-kind style.
In my painting, she is dressed in a blue suit and a pink scarf, with her hair flowing gracefully.
To capture her enigmatic vibe, I painted her with her head turned to the side, revealing her captivating gaze.
This portrait shows Indigo's confidence as she poses , enjoying the attention of her admirers.
She could be a racehorse, known for her speed and agility on the track. Her sleek blue coat and flowing mane shows a horse bred for performance and beauty.
With this fictional character I wanted to express a certain feeling and give clues to her personality. My choice to paint Indigo with her head turned and her gaze averted adds to her enigmatic presence. It's as if she's aware of the viewer's attention, but not particularly interested in engaging with it.
There's a sense of pride and confidence in Indigo's posture and expression as well .

From an early age, I was drawn to creative expression, discovering my passion for art as soon as I could hold a crayon.
I pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Art Education in Ukraine, which laid the foundation for my artistic and teaching career.
After relocating to Australia in 2002, I continued to develop my practice and actively sought opportunities to exhibit my work.
I have since participated in various art prizes and exhibited in local galleries, while also sharing my knowledge through teaching, both in my home studio and within the school community attended by my children.
For me, art is more than a passion; it is a lifelong journey of exploration, growth, and connection. Through both my creative practice and teaching, I aim to inspire others to experience the joy and transformative power of art. My work has allowed me to engage with audiences locally on the Gold Coast and internationally, reinforcing my belief in creativity as a universal language that enriches lives.
