Artwork Description

Mystic water dance
Acrylic & gloss on canvas | 80 × 118 cm | Signed & ready to hang .
Here’s the enchanted underwater realm where connection and movement flow effortlessly.

At the centre of the painting, a graceful mermaid floats in a tender, playful exchange with a dolphin, their gentle touch symbolising trust, harmony, and communication beyond words.
Soft currents and ribbon-like trails of water swirl around them, creating a sense of weightlessness and rhythm.

The surrounding coral reef is alive with colour and texture, layers of pinks, purples, golds, and creamy whites bloom and curl, while small fish drift through luminous shades of turquoise, blue, and violet.

Gloss highlights shimmer across the surface, mimicking light dancing through water and enhancing the dreamlike atmosphere.

The inspiration behind this work comes from the idea of water as a universal connector, a space where intuition, freedom, and emotion coexist.

The mermaid represents inner wisdom, while the dolphin brings joy and guidance, together forming a quiet, magical dance beneath the sea.

Artist Bio

From an early age, I was drawn to creative expression, discovering my passion for art as soon as I could hold a crayon.
I pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Art Education in Ukraine, which laid the foundation for my artistic and teaching career.
After relocating to Australia in 2002, I continued to develop my practice and actively sought opportunities to exhibit my work.
I have since participated in various art prizes and exhibited in local galleries, while also sharing my knowledge through teaching, both in my home studio and within the school community attended by my children.
For me, art is more than a passion; it is a lifelong journey of exploration, growth, and connection. Through both my creative practice and teaching, I aim to inspire others to experience the joy and transformative power of art. My work has allowed me to engage with audiences locally on the Gold Coast and internationally, reinforcing my belief in creativity as a universal language that enriches lives.
