Artwork Description

Peacock Village is a vibrant fusion of imagination, colour, and storytelling.
This piece began on a bright morning during a cycling trip through a nearby park, where I spotted a peacock glowing in the sunlight.
I took a photo of the bird, and that moment became the foundation for this artwork.

As I painted, I allowed fantasy to unfold, bringing her shimmering feathers into a quirky travelling village filled with tiny explorers, colourful rooftops, and winding pathways.

Villages often symbolize community and connection for me, themes that appear throughout my work in floating towns and miniature worlds.

The background now shifts into dreamy pink and purple clouds drifting across a soft blue sky, with cool blue tones embracing the village behind the peacock.

These colours create a calming, uplifting atmosphere, echoing the bird’s dreamy yet determined expression.

Together, they invite into a world where nature and fantasy coexist in playful harmony.

Artist Bio

From an early age, I was drawn to creative expression, discovering my passion for art as soon as I could hold a crayon.
I pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Art Education in Ukraine, which laid the foundation for my artistic and teaching career.
After relocating to Australia in 2002, I continued to develop my practice and actively sought opportunities to exhibit my work.
I have since participated in various art prizes and exhibited in local galleries, while also sharing my knowledge through teaching, both in my home studio and within the school community attended by my children.
For me, art is more than a passion; it is a lifelong journey of exploration, growth, and connection. Through both my creative practice and teaching, I aim to inspire others to experience the joy and transformative power of art. My work has allowed me to engage with audiences locally on the Gold Coast and internationally, reinforcing my belief in creativity as a universal language that enriches lives.
