Artwork Description

Pink sky village

A huge whale breaches high above the ocean, floating towards a dreamy pink sky.
He’s the guardian and protector of the ocean.

Below, there’s a colourful village, its small shanty buildings stacked up , creating a vibrant and whimsical scene. I wanted to show fragile human structures against the strength of nature.

At the top of the village, a lush rooftop garden grows , while tall palm trees lean gracefully away from the ocean breeze.

The textured waves glisten beneath, blending nature and fantasy in perfect harmony.

This painting shows a magical moment of connection between land, sea, and sky, inviting you into a world of wonder and imagination.

The idea of escaping the mundane, represented by the whale leaping into a sky of limitless dreams.
Romanticism of pink skies, often tied to hope and serenity.

Artist Bio

From an early age, I was drawn to creative expression, discovering my passion for art as soon as I could hold a crayon.
I pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Art Education in Ukraine, which laid the foundation for my artistic and teaching career.
After relocating to Australia in 2002, I continued to develop my practice and actively sought opportunities to exhibit my work.
I have since participated in various art prizes and exhibited in local galleries, while also sharing my knowledge through teaching, both in my home studio and within the school community attended by my children.
For me, art is more than a passion; it is a lifelong journey of exploration, growth, and connection. Through both my creative practice and teaching, I aim to inspire others to experience the joy and transformative power of art. My work has allowed me to engage with audiences locally on the Gold Coast and internationally, reinforcing my belief in creativity as a universal language that enriches lives.
