Artwork Description

Red Fish’s Home immerses in a vibrant underwater world alive with texture, colour, and gentle movement.
Inspired by my deep fascination with coral reefs and the sense of wonder they spark, this piece grew from memories of watching small red fish weave confidently through their shimmering underwater cities.
I wanted to capture that feeling the fun of observing tiny creatures in their hidden sanctuaries.

In this scene, brilliant red fish dart through intricate coral formations, their scales glistening as sunlight filters softly through the water. The reef rises in a spectrum of blues, greens, and earthy coral tones, with towering structures, branching shapes, and shadowy nooks that create both shelter and mystery. The contrast between the vivid red fish and the cool surrounding hues infuses the painting with energy and motion.

Crafted with mixed media on stretched canvas (91x61 cm), using acrylic, gesso textures, and gloss, this artwork is signed on the front and ready to hang — a luminous glimpse into underwater serenity.

Artist Bio

From an early age, I was drawn to creative expression, discovering my passion for art as soon as I could hold a crayon.
I pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Art Education in Ukraine, which laid the foundation for my artistic and teaching career.
After relocating to Australia in 2002, I continued to develop my practice and actively sought opportunities to exhibit my work.
I have since participated in various art prizes and exhibited in local galleries, while also sharing my knowledge through teaching, both in my home studio and within the school community attended by my children.
For me, art is more than a passion; it is a lifelong journey of exploration, growth, and connection. Through both my creative practice and teaching, I aim to inspire others to experience the joy and transformative power of art. My work has allowed me to engage with audiences locally on the Gold Coast and internationally, reinforcing my belief in creativity as a universal language that enriches lives.
