Artwork Description

I'm so inspired by the beauty of nature, especially when it comes to a sunset! The way the light reflects off the lake, creating a stunning orange hue, is so mesmerizing. I love to capture that feeling in my paintings. I find that the best way to do this is to observe the sunset for a few minutes and really take in the colors, then try to reproduce that color palette in my painting.
This sunset painting with dark hills in the distance is a beautiful and tranquil sight. The glow of the setting sun is muted by the deep blues of the distant hills and the reflection of the orange and yellow light on the still waters of the lake.
A lone, dark palm tree stands tall against the backdrop of the sky, silhouetted against the warm colors of the fading sunset.

Artist Bio

From an early age, I was drawn to creative expression, discovering my passion for art as soon as I could hold a crayon.
I pursued this passion academically, earning a degree in Art Education in Ukraine, which laid the foundation for my artistic and teaching career.
After relocating to Australia in 2002, I continued to develop my practice and actively sought opportunities to exhibit my work.
I have since participated in various art prizes and exhibited in local galleries, while also sharing my knowledge through teaching, both in my home studio and within the school community attended by my children.
For me, art is more than a passion; it is a lifelong journey of exploration, growth, and connection. Through both my creative practice and teaching, I aim to inspire others to experience the joy and transformative power of art. My work has allowed me to engage with audiences locally on the Gold Coast and internationally, reinforcing my belief in creativity as a universal language that enriches lives.
