Painting bananas is fun! I placed them on a white plate because you see some pretty colours in the shadows on white and hung a blue material behind the still life. The blue is very difficult to photograph and these photos are the most closely I can capture it. Bananas are a iconic still life subject and the yellow hues are a joy to paint. I have signed the front right with the handle end of brush when the paint was wet.

Artist Bio
I am inspired by form, light, colour and pattern. I paint and draw because I enjoy it and want to record what I see thatโs beautiful. I work as well and find that small paintings help me to keep painting in the gaps between my job and family life. Small paintings are also easy to post! I complete each painting in one session, always working from life.
