Lagoon

Painted en plein air at the edge of the lagoon. The early spring morning sun created long reflections in the water and warmed the sand on the beach.

I am inspired by form, light, colour and pattern. I paint and draw because I enjoy it and want to record what I see that’s beautiful. I work as well and find that small paintings help me to keep painting in the gaps between my job and family life. Small paintings are also easy to post! I complete each painting in one session, always working from life.
