Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the back.

Continuing on the path of balancing "chance art" with intention, this work uses syringes, leafblower and the drip method to apply the paint. No actual contact occurs with artist and canvas and so what is captured is movement.... the movement of paint that is searching for the happy accident to find its form. In this way one is trying to find the patterns of form that occur in nature. The composition has no particular focal point but attempts to create movement through the work where the eye does not rest but rather moves into the piece and this hopefully encourages a state of contemplation. This piece explores the feeling of night, space and Nebulae.
