Love Knot

From damp Egyptian reed curtains, air conditioning has always been about more than comfort—it’s about survival, productivity, and adapting to our environment.
I’ve used the ducting as a symbol of our love for a controlled climate, and by placing the knotted coil of ducting on a velvet cushion, elevated an everyday necessity into something precious.

Jane is a mixed media artist. Originally trained as a graphic designer, she furthered her interest in contemporary fine art through studies at North Metropolitan TAFE and Curtin University. Urban landscapes, and still life arrangements are recurring themes, and she explores them through the mediums of both drawing and painting.
