Artwork Description

My landscape art often depicts my concerns for our beautiful, diminishing habitat in Western Australia.
The Carnaby Cockatoos, an endangered species, partner for life, and I observed one such flock gradually reducing in size as they flew over our property. Sadly, one remaining pair became a solitary cockatoo. I often write poetry to match my artistic statement:
"I heard the silent scream of the forest
Punctuated only by the cry of a lone cockatoo
Seeking refuge.
Even the soft winds cannot carry away
The anguish."
