Artwork Description

Morning Rising captures the peaceful beauty of an Australian country landscape as a new day unfolds. Beneath a vast sky filled with soft, billowing clouds, the early morning light gently washes across the rolling green paddocks, creating a feeling of freshness, space and renewal.
The graceful gum tree in the foreground provides a strong focal point, its twisting branches and delicate foliage framing the expansive landscape beyond. A solitary magpie in flight adds movement and life to the quiet scene, while the distant trees and weathered fence posts lead the eye towards the soft, glowing horizon.
The changing tones of the morning sky, from cool blues and silvery greys to delicate touches of warm pink, suggest the first light of day breaking through. The painting celebrates the simple beauty of the Australian countryside and the sense of hope and possibility that comes with a new morning.
“Morning Rising” is a celebration of light, landscape and the quiet promise of a new day.

Artist Bio

My artwork is a story told through portraits, the powerful presence of trains, the serenity of landscapes and to the allure of seascapes. The Australian landscape, with its changeable beauty, has always held a special place in my heart. I like to explore a multitude of themes and subjects each with a unique tale to tell. However it's in the realm of wildlife art, particularly Australian birdlife, that I enjoy the most.

I paint mainly in oils and do many birds in watercolours. Thank you for reading my bio, I hope you enjoy my artwork.
