The Hawksbill Turtle in outline invites the viewer to reflect on the turtlesβ ability to camouflage within itβs surroundings and also to ponder a reef ecosystem without these turtles which are critically endangered.
The Sea Goldie or Pseudanthias Squamipinnis is a beautiful little fish species found all around the northern and mid eastern coast of Australia. They often congregate in large schools and can be seen flitting around the same coral reefs where Hawksbill Turtles feed.
Muted purple lilac and teal tones work together in a harmonious colour scheme to emulate the tranquil nature of reef life and give a sense of calm to the scene.
