Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

Two friends walking along the shoreline stop to examine marine life caught in a rock pool. This painting invokes happy memories of visits to the beach with my own children. The artwork was created using brushes and palette knives. Children are one of my favourite subjects to paint. You can also contact me if you are interested in commissioning a painting of your own children at the beach or at play. These can be painted from photographs. See my Facebook page for other painting settings.

Two beautiful women dressed in gold and silver leaf with bronze, gold and silver paint highlights. These two paintings are each of a beautiful woman waiting for her beau and a cocktail and watching those in the room around her. She is contemplating what the evening might bring. An abstract depiction of a woman painted in gold and silver leaf with bronze, gold and silver paint highlights. This painting is of a beautiful woman in a silver and gold ballgown watching those in the room around her and contemplating what the evening might bring. A cocktail glass and gold and bronze urn, complete the picture. The style is reminiscent of Klimt. Two children standing at the edge of the water thinking about going swimming. The painting is predominately blue and the little girl is wearing a red dress. The older boy is dressed in a blue Tshirt and shorts. The children's reflections are shown in the sandy water in the foreground.A young boy and girl holding hands on the beach and watching the sunset. A very romantic portrayal of young love captured in purples, pinks and blues with a contrasting orange sky.

This painting uses primary colours to create a surreal atmosphere typical of Dali paintings. It introduces some of his sculptures and paintings in the form of a bent clock, an elephant on elongated legs and a butterfly, all typical of the objects to be found in Dali's own artworks. His portrait captures his crazy stare typically seen in photographs of the artist himself. The Basin swimming area at Rottnest Island, with the sheds and pine trees in the background. The foreground features the reef surrounding the island, a favourite swimming and snorkeling spot for holidaymakers. The reef in the foreground is highlighted by the surrounding turquoise waters.Waves crashing on the shore with clouds approaching in the background. An approaching storm perhaps? The water is a deep blue and the waves are rough as the water is stirred up by the wind.A blue green sea turtle swimming over a multi-coloured coral reef with sunlight shining down through the water. The coral is yellow, blue, purple and pink coloured with green and pink parrot fish and clown fish and other small tropical fish swimming over the reef.
