Southern Ocean Blue

Southern Ocean Blue by Jenny McGrath - Inspired by the freedom of the sea, the swirling shapes and bubbles create a striking painting in gorgeous ocean hues. Southern Ocean Blue capturing the light and chopping and churning of the sea, with powerful hues of bold colour. Powerful, energising and renewing. I am constantly drawn to the colours and vibrancy of the ocean and water. The original piece has been created with acrylic paint.

The ocean hues exude a renewing, fresh bold new start.  I enjoy the abstract nature of the light and water and creating the fusion of delicious colour. I am intrigued by objects appearing abstract yet being of something tangible.

Sealed with a gloss varnish with painted edges.

Jenny McGrath is a visual artist from Perth, best known for her vibrant paintings of nature. Jenny grew up in the Western Australia, travelling overseas and living in the UK for a number of years before settling in Perth and completing a Bachelor of Fine Art and Visual Culture. Her work is held in private and commercial collections in Australia and Singapore.
