I had the pleasure of painting this picture on location when I was on holidays.
Goolwa Beach is a beautiful spot for surfing and a great favourite with locals walking their dogs and just getting out in the fresh air.
When you paint on location, somehow the sound of the waves and the salt spray all comes back to you when you look at the painting again.
It is so direct. You see it as it is and put it on the canvas.
