This portrait is based on a bust of the Roman Emperor Tiberius.
The palette knife has been used to create this work, allowing for rich textures and layering of paint to occur.
The thin, white lines fanning across the right side of the face were established using the point of the palette knife to etch into the paint.
High quality Art Spectrum oils used on triple-primed canvas.
The sides are painted black.
Ready to hang with strong wire/d-rings on the back.
