Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
The idea behind this work was to create a moody‚ Gothic-style landscape that wasn't so strongly rooted in the forest theme but‚ instead within a mountainous landscape. The inspiration then came to reference the movies 'Where Eagles Dare' (1968) and 'The Medusa Touch' (1978), both starring Richard Burton. Both these films are among my favourites.
As a result I imbued this work with a style reminiscent of the film posters used for these movies as well as 1960s and 1970s film and graphic design posters in general.
