I convinced my husband to stop at the beach on our way to st Helen’s a few weeks ago, as I often do! On this particular day the sun shone so beautifully on the sand and we were able to enjoy the last moments of golden hour.
This painting brings a real sense of calm and warmth - perhaps a reminder to slow down and appreciate the simple joys and beauty in life! 🌊🙌🏼
Having lived in Tasmania most of my life, I am drawn to the remarkable coastline to find inspiration for my paintings. I love everything about the ocean and the beach - The aquatic hues that translate so beautifully into a painting. The sounds of the crashing waves, yet the feeling of peace and quiet. The way the sun sets and rises over the horizon reflecting so beautifully onto the water and sand. The sunny days and the feeling of warm sand between my toes. The cold wintery afternoon strolls and cool breeze on my face.
I feel as though the ocean connects us all in such a considerable way. I hope when you see my paintings it’s sparks some special memories or feelings of your own. 🌊💗
