At dusk the mystery starts to unfold in the rainforest. That's the time when the fruit bats go on their long flights foraging for fruits and berries in the treetops, and possums start leave their homes. You might spot a nocturnal bird like the Frogmouth, while others will give their last calls for the day. I painted this pictures with memories of a holiday where I went into the Daintree Rainforest at night. You can also spot a Lyrebird, the Golden Bowerbird and a Cuscus which are native to this area.

Artist Bio
With my paintings I try to convey happiness and pleasure; a respite from daily stress and anxiety.I was born in Germany and came to Australia in 1970 where it didn’t take long to be seduced by the beauty of my newly adopted country. The exotic flora and fauna that inhabit my work is a direct response to this captivating world around me. For me‚ creating art is a natural and intimate process which keeps my work fresh and spontaneous.
