A Couple of Highlands

The southwest of WA in the Margaret River region holds a very special place in my heart and if anyone has the privilege of owning a farm in this part of Australia, they are blessed indeed. These beautiful highland cows are a testimony to the rich environment in which they live. In this painting I wanted to capture the crisp winter morning, with fog in the distance and the overall serenity of it's location.

Jill Bryant is a West Australian artist, based in Fremantle. Jill inspired by the colours‚ textures and emotive elements of everything around her making her work extremely varied. Her passion for art started at a very early age and has continued to grow along with her skills awarding her with Dux of her year in two art institutions during her years of art education. Although a qualified Graphic Designer her real love is for painting‚ both in impressionistic and abstract forms.

The watercolour medium never ceases to captivate her and has moved her to push the boundaries producing stunning watercolour abstracts and impressionist works.
