Artwork Description

I love the WA coastal scrub near where I live. Sometimes it's dense growth, others sparse and spindly but all have such interesting shapes and with this painting I wanted to portray the movement created with their directional growth and the shadows cast from their branches and foliage. I felt that it really invited a dance through the trees to the beckoning ocean beyond.

Jill Bryant is a West Australian artist, based in Fremantle. Jill inspired by the colours‚ textures and emotive elements of everything around her making her work extremely varied. Her passion for art started at a very early age and has continued to grow along with her skills awarding her with Dux of her year in two art institutions during her years of art education. Although a qualified Graphic Designer her real love is for painting‚ both in impressionistic and abstract forms.

The watercolour medium never ceases to captivate her and has moved her to push the boundaries producing stunning watercolour abstracts and impressionist works.
