Lake Hawea

A recent visit to Lake Hawea in the South Island of NZ inspired this painting. I took a walk along this track, admiring the varying vivid hues so typical of the South Island. The long shadows, trees blossoming and the crystal clear aqua water was so invigorating and felt I just had to paint it. I love this part of the world!!!

Jill Bryant is a West Australian artist, based in Fremantle. Jill inspired by the colours‚ textures and emotive elements of everything around her making her work extremely varied. Her passion for art started at a very early age and has continued to grow along with her skills awarding her with Dux of her year in two art institutions during her years of art education. Although a qualified Graphic Designer her real love is for painting‚ both in impressionistic and abstract forms.

The watercolour medium never ceases to captivate her and has moved her to push the boundaries producing stunning watercolour abstracts and impressionist works.
