Melaleucas by the Lake

There is beauty in simple things and new life from these half fallen melaleuca's is indicative of just how amazing our natural surroundings are. One part dies, but from that springs new beginnings. As I walked around this lake close to where I live, I loved the gnarly, twisted nature of the melaleuca against the still waters of the lake and decided it would make for a lovely painting.

Jill Bryant is a West Australian artist, based in Fremantle. Jill inspired by the colours‚ textures and emotive elements of everything around her making her work extremely varied. Her passion for art started at a very early age and has continued to grow along with her skills awarding her with Dux of her year in two art institutions during her years of art education. Although a qualified Graphic Designer her real love is for painting‚ both in impressionistic and abstract forms.

The watercolour medium never ceases to captivate her and has moved her to push the boundaries producing stunning watercolour abstracts and impressionist works.
