Artwork Description

This beach is a short walk from where I live and one late afternoon, while grounding, as the sun's light peered through the clouds to produce a spectacular glow, reflected also in the pooling water, it was a moment and everything felt right. Somehow the rock anchored by the shore gave a sense of stability and stillness to the ever changing vista of the ocean and sky. I was eager to paint this.

Jill Bryant is a West Australian artist, based in Fremantle. Jill inspired by the colours‚ textures and emotive elements of everything around her making her work extremely varied. Her passion for art started at a very early age and has continued to grow along with her skills awarding her with Dux of her year in two art institutions during her years of art education. Although a qualified Graphic Designer her real love is for painting‚ both in impressionistic and abstract forms.

The watercolour medium never ceases to captivate her and has moved her to push the boundaries producing stunning watercolour abstracts and impressionist works.
