Quiet Day on the River

This was a plein air painting done on the foreshore in Biction WA. It was a stunning light filled day, with a few boats moored in front of me. There was a gentle lapping of the water with the sand beneath my feet and I could quite happily have stayed there all day. This part of the swan river is a favourite of mine and I hope to do many more painting along this stretch of water.

Jill Bryant is a West Australian artist, based in Fremantle. Jill inspired by the colours‚ textures and emotive elements of everything around her making her work extremely varied. Her passion for art started at a very early age and has continued to grow along with her skills awarding her with Dux of her year in two art institutions during her years of art education. Although a qualified Graphic Designer her real love is for painting‚ both in impressionistic and abstract forms.

The watercolour medium never ceases to captivate her and has moved her to push the boundaries producing stunning watercolour abstracts and impressionist works.
