Rockpool in the Pilbara

The colours of the Pilbara just take my breath away. It's not until you are actually there that you fully appreciate the rugged beauty of the place. The strong light against the burnt orange rocks and the imposing shadows of the opposing one with the still water as their mirror captured my interest and was the inspiration for this painting.

Jill Bryant is a West Australian artist, based in Fremantle. Jill inspired by the colours‚ textures and emotive elements of everything around her making her work extremely varied. Her passion for art started at a very early age and has continued to grow along with her skills awarding her with Dux of her year in two art institutions during her years of art education. Although a qualified Graphic Designer her real love is for painting‚ both in impressionistic and abstract forms.

The watercolour medium never ceases to captivate her and has moved her to push the boundaries producing stunning watercolour abstracts and impressionist works.
