Yesterday I was determined to get to Hamelin Bay as we were back in Margaret River again and it had been years since being in this picturesque part of the state. Although stunning in the summer months it is equally beautiful in winter, although the boat ramp here has little traffic, certainly none on this day, only a pile of seaweed.
There had been heavy cloud, but as they were shifting and breaking, light was breaking through to illuminate the ocean in the distance, and, I don't know why but this always takes my breath away. Two natural forces meet, the light from the sun and the surface of the mighty ocean to produce a radiance that cannot possibly be replicated perfectly in a painting. But hopefully you get the sense of it in this one.
