Artwork Description

The Poinciana's in our neighbourhood are a never ending source of wonder for me. Their branches create the most interesting patterns, both the negative and positive spaces and the shadows they cast from the sunlight. As a result, this painting has an almost oriental feel in my opinion.

Jill Bryant is a West Australian artist, based in Fremantle. Jill inspired by the colours‚ textures and emotive elements of everything around her making her work extremely varied. Her passion for art started at a very early age and has continued to grow along with her skills awarding her with Dux of her year in two art institutions during her years of art education. Although a qualified Graphic Designer her real love is for painting‚ both in impressionistic and abstract forms.

The watercolour medium never ceases to captivate her and has moved her to push the boundaries producing stunning watercolour abstracts and impressionist works.
