Part of me, being an artist, is searching for wonderful subjects to paint. This even includes getting up at 3am, in order to travel to a friend's farm in the Adelaide hills, to take reference photos of a newborn Clydesdale foal, born the day before. I calculated that the early sun would stream into the stable, and was well rewarded.

I think we all have a soft spot for nature and mother and babies, as this sure adds a warm, soft spot to my heart. These animals are such gentle giants.

As it turns out, my timing was perfect, as a storm blew up out of nowhere, and the sun disappeared. I seem to gravitate towards painting horses and other equestrian connections. I certainly find them wonderful subjects for my paintings.

Although I painted this some time ago, this artwork has never been framed or exhibited. It deserves a loving forever home.

NOTE: The surface has been wax coated with a special preservative/protective cold wax finish - the bonus is that this work does not necessarily need to be framed with glass or perspex. It has a soft sheen to the textured surface,

There is no border allowance for framing, so it can be 'float' mounted, or a small portion can be covered with a mat, without spoiling the composition. The image shown framed is just a suggestion and sizing is approximate.
Unframed, but frames are usually readily available in this size 'off-the-shelf, where frames/decor items are sold.
