Canarvon Gorge

Carnarvon Gorge is a spectacular oasis in the semi-arid heart of Central Queensland, with majestic sandstone cliff faces and ancient palm trees.
Painted in oils on a stretched canvas, with painted sides varnished ready to hang. It has a textured surface created with a palette knife and the flecks of silver leaf through out add a element of surprise.

From a very young art has been part of my life and the urge to create has always stayed with me. The Australian landscape with it's everchanging colours, and unique flora and fauna supply me with a constant source of inspiration. When exploring this beautiful country of ours the camera and my eyes are always open wide taking it all in. . I get a delight in painting animals incorporating humour and capturing their personalities. I do believe that art should not only be a thing of beauty but bring joy and make people smile. I live amongst nature where my garden is my sanctuary and lots of birds visit so I will never run out of ideas for my next painting.. In the past I have created many one of a kind miniature fairy sculptures which are now in private collections all over the world. So you will also find that there will be a fairy painting or two in amongst my works. Art has brought me much joy and i love that I get to share this with others.
