So I’m quite obsessed with proteas. They are such a glorious flower, with many different aspects to them. I went a bit nuts this year and planted a whole heap in my new garden, knowing full well it may take ages for me to get some good flowers. But this little guy surprised me! It’s perfect little pink petals and gold spikes called out to be painted. The beauty and complexity of nature always astounds me, and I just love being able to capture some of this on canvas. This handsome fella sits in my little handmade bud vase that I imprinted with a leaf. And would sit nicely in a warm corner of your home too!
