Artwork Description

Pencil on paper

Signed on the front.

This an historic building from the Mining days in Central Victoria. It is still as graceful and grand as in those days. It is now a guest house or air B&B. Talbot is undergoing a strong revival and has a number of refurbished buildings. The old bank is one and I will add a pencil drawing later. However the key to Talbots popularity is undoubtedly the Eatery - an award winning Cafe, that has a few other treats as well. Dunolly on the other side of Maryborough is the key to the Gold History where more gold has been found than any where else in the world. I run tours in my old car and you only pay for my services. So the drawing is one of dozens I have produces to highlight the goldfields area.

Image is an expression of life in mid season with snow on the mountains and the boat moored for the day. No one about so it is cold and you need to be inside for some respite.Capturing a glimpse, in varying light, of a few ghost gums in a red desert setting .As above the task was to try to convey a quiet corner in a busy fishing port. You have to allow for the fact that after 70 years as an artist you look for variants in what you are doing. My last 2 paintings have been more expressionism than previously. Let me know what you think about the two paintings with boats. I am also an experienced framer and create bespoke frames to the buyers requests. One of the many cafes in the Uzes area in France.
