I have always been impressed by the white barked trees ever since we had a huge white gum in the Gardens in Maryborough. When we visited the outback the white Ghost Gums and other varieties always show a contrast against the red rocks and soil. I may have painted similar scenes around 100 times over the years. Now we are completing my 71st year as an artist having won my first adult competition at 13 years of age. If you enjoy this one it is because I am starting on a new phase of doing a few paintings that are impressionistic with a touch of realism.
