Original Artwork's Description

The many faces of the night (four piece set )by Jonathan Redmayne. A new abstract portrait action painting that captures the essence of the current climate…a powerful piece with beautiful brush strokes . Dynamic colours exploring shape, form, rhythm and movement. Painted on 28 April 2022.

From my latest body of work titled "Selfie's" studies the deceptions of achievements, appearance and personality. This current body of work explores narcissism, self absorption, success and insecurity. No matter how good you think you look, there's something about posing for a selfie that might frame you in a bad light. Smile for the camera.
Each piece measures 76cm x 51cm on thick edge gallery stretched canvas 204cm x 76cm as a complete set

Artist Bio

Jonathan Redmayne is an artist based in Australia whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in England, Italy, Argentina, and the United States. He describes his works as challenging the current climate and are carefully arranged by showcasing organic shapes that orchestrate a narrative of conflict and harmony, fragments of contrasting colours created through blending brushstrokes, abstract signatures and sculptural like curves.. Redmayne's bold compositions embody a visual aesthetic that "emotionally confronts the viewer".
