Bull Dust was inspired by my trip to a northern cattle station. I met one of these bulls and you really don't want to be in their way. Taurus has raw power, so they must be respected. This painting was fun to paint with different earthy colours , raw browns, yellow ochre, ect.
This version is on canvas, which is unusual for my work as i prefer the smoother finish of wooden panels. Panels also allow me to go into greater detail whilst canvas can lose some when rendering the painting. But this turned out beautifully nonetheless and I'll be painting more large canvas paintings in the future. All my paintings are framed as shown on the picture in my studio.
