Early morning sun and fresh country air is something that I experienced much of in my early travels to Australia. After meeting my now wife, when we were newly wedded, we lived on her parents farm for around 5 years. There's not much rest on a fruit farm, as even on Sunday mornings I would wake up to the sounds of a tractor approaching the workers quarters that was our home... It was time to help my father in law with picking. What I remember most about these mornings however were the colours of the morning sun and the fog filled gumtree forests. It was truly magical.

I painted these gumtrees in the foreground, trying to texture them after their resemblance and have them really pop out of the painting. I hope you love the painting as much as I loved the process of painting it.
