In a tableland village, calm and still,
Nestled snug 'tween green-rolling hills,
Fields of gold stretch far and wide,
Await the rain on which they bide.
With dark rain clouds approaching near,
The farmers' hearts hold hope and cheer.
They scan the skies with eager eyes,
As nature's promise slowly lies.
Oh, distant rain, your journey make,
To quench the thirst of field and lake.
Upon this land, so lush and fair,
Shower it with tender care.
The hills embrace this quiet scene,
Their whispers soft, their colors green.
In patience, the village waits in line,
For rain to bless the crops divine.
