This small acrylic painting with oil glazing is a reinterpretation of my larger Nordic Wildflower Meadow painting. Created using the same distinctive technique, I build texture by applying and lifting paint with paper towels, allowing layers of colour and subtle details to emerge organically across the surface.
The acrylic underpainting provides structure and vibrancy, while delicate oil glazes add depth, luminosity, and richness to the colours. Inspired by the untamed beauty of Nordic wildflower meadows, the painting captures the movement, texture, and natural harmony of a landscape in bloom. Though smaller in scale, it retains the atmosphere and expressive character of the original work, inviting the viewer into a richly textured and immersive natural scene.
Created in acrylic and oil on a 3mm MDF panel, this artwork is uniquely crafted using a crumpled paper towel technique, producing rich textures, organic movement, and vibrant layers of colour throughout the surface. Each panel is carefully prepared with marble dust gesso to create depth and durability, and only the highest quality oil paints are used to achieve a luminous finish and lasting richness.
Every painting is personally framed by the artist with great attention to detail, completing the work as a ready-to-display piece of art.
