I was given a broken Westerwald piece of pottery seen in the painting. The top was totally gone and it had no spout. Well you know what artistic license is? I created the spout and top in my mind. The other objects I still have them in my studio, which were arranged so as to form one part of a laden table at a late night soiree. It was painted in 2005, it only recently came off the attic. Although we had an exhibition in our village, we were not ready to part with it as yet. I think it is just absolutely stunning. The overall size including the frame is 81 cm (high) by 96 cm (wide) and 4 cm deep click on the upper right of the main photo, to give you a view of its size in a room setting. Painted on a rigid paintable and endurable panel with quality oil paint and homemade artist medium. The palette of colours is remarkably small, only 6 colours and white.
