Jug, Vase and Mug

I wished to explore the subtle colour variations of white based on the local tone of the objects and the ambient lighting. I created a unified silhouette to create a sense of wholeness and to allow for better perception of the colour variations. I hope this will allow for a moment of silence, reflection, and introspection.

Josseline Jeria is a Contemporary Australian born painter, currently based in Sydney.
Focusing on the Fine arts, I work predominately in realist traditions based in impressionistic and expressionistic styles. I explore incorporating abstract qualities in my work, to create different pictorial spaces and to emphasize focal points. My choice of style for a given painting is made based on the composition and the mood I wish for the audience to experience when viewing my work.
I enjoy exploring the full spectrum of colour palettes, from monochromatic to highly saturated, and from minimal to complex interpretations of objects, landscapes and people.
The majority of my paintings are painted from life.
