Artwork Description

A still life arrangement with a vintage Hermès silk piece as the background, a patterned cloth handmade by a female survivor of human trafficking and two bowls to ground the patterns. Exploring combining multiple patterns and similar colours to create a harmonious image. The cool pinks and the turquoise and teals are amongst my favourite colours.

Varnished.
Signed, dated and titled on back.
Unframed.
30cm x 25cm.

Artist Bio

Josseline Jeria is a Contemporary Australian born painter, currently based in Sydney.
Focusing on the Fine arts, I work predominately in realist traditions based in impressionistic and expressionistic styles. I explore incorporating abstract qualities in my work, to create different pictorial spaces and to emphasize focal points. My choice of style for a given painting is made based on the composition and the mood I wish for the audience to experience when viewing my work.
I enjoy exploring the full spectrum of colour palettes, from monochromatic to highly saturated, and from minimal to complex interpretations of objects, landscapes and people.
The majority of my paintings are painted from life.
