Still life with Sneakers

A still life arrangement using inspiration from a painting by Bellini. I abstracted his composition and created a work using modern day objects.
Included in the artwork are Nike Air Force 1 sneakers, Eucalyptus tree branch, dried banksia flowers, water bottle, plastic bag, cube, red and green cloth, tissue box and a soft toy character from the film "My Neighbour Totoro".
Painted from life using Michael Harding, Williamsburg, Langridge and Old Holland paints.

Josseline Jeria is a Contemporary Australian born painter, currently based in Sydney.
Focusing on the Fine arts, I work predominately in realist traditions based in impressionistic and expressionistic styles. I explore incorporating abstract qualities in my work, to create different pictorial spaces and to emphasize focal points. My choice of style for a given painting is made based on the composition and the mood I wish for the audience to experience when viewing my work.
I enjoy exploring the full spectrum of colour palettes, from monochromatic to highly saturated, and from minimal to complex interpretations of objects, landscapes and people.
The majority of my paintings are painted from life.
