Still Life with T-Shirt

Inspired by a very close person in my life, I created a still life that reflects aspects of them.
The emphasis of the composition was the exploration of white variations and the placement of objects to create subtle movement of the eye across the canvas. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this piece.
Painted from life using Michael Harding, Old Holland, Langride and Williamsburg oil paints.

Josseline Jeria is a Contemporary Australian born painter, currently based in Sydney.
Focusing on the Fine arts, I work predominately in realist traditions based in impressionistic and expressionistic styles. I explore incorporating abstract qualities in my work, to create different pictorial spaces and to emphasize focal points. My choice of style for a given painting is made based on the composition and the mood I wish for the audience to experience when viewing my work.
I enjoy exploring the full spectrum of colour palettes, from monochromatic to highly saturated, and from minimal to complex interpretations of objects, landscapes and people.
The majority of my paintings are painted from life.
