Artwork Description

When I first went to art school I lived on Glebe Point Road and attended the Balmain campus of Sydney College of the Arts. Happy times, reflected in the upbeat vibe of this extra large painting.

This is a very cost effective way of purchasing such a large piece.
It will be posted (insurance & postage included in the price) unstretched, in a secure tube.
I am happy to recommend stretching and or framing through Bluethumb.
Just 'add stretching' or 'stretching & frame' of your choice.
This makes it easy to purchase such a statement piece at a very reasonable cost.

Certificate of authenticity provided. Thanks for your interest.

Artist Bio

Ann Needham’s distinctive style could best be described as an abstract representation of an internal state, of feelings or emotions, made visible through her exploration of color, line, texture and the human form.
Needham has a background in fashion, textile design and psychology, with a Master Degree in Art Therapy MArtTher. Over the years each of these areas have merged to shape and inform her unique style and process.

Needham’s works range from large scale statement pieces to smaller, more intimate works. Needham works predominately in acrylics, because they suit her tendency for spontaneity. They have a tactile aesthetic because she values the look of the human touch, which she believes helps forge a deeper connection and understanding with the viewer.

Ann Needham grew up on the New South Wales South Coast and is now based in Brisbane. She has previously been represented by Gannon House Gallery in The Rocks in Sydney. Needham’s paintings are held in collections across Australia, England, Singapore and the USA including works held by the City of Hope Treatment and Research Hospital, Orange County California, and have been featured in Home Design Magazine publication 2025.
