Our native orchids in Australia are simply stunning. A bush walk in spring is made extra special if you've managed to spot a few different varieties along the edges of the trail. The spider orchids are my personal favourites, incredibly delicate and intricate and when tucked amongst other wildflowers are literally as pretty as a picture!!!! Caladenia Procera ( an endangered spider orchid found in south west W.A. also known as the Carbanup King Orchid ) is depicted here with the gorgeous yellow billy button and detailed in gold leaf.
