After discovering a wonderful old Ampol map of South Australia whilst tidying my studio, a series of small studies of South Australia evolved.
Using sections of the map as a base, iconic symbols of the various regions were painted in acrylic over the surface of the map.
Kangaroo Island is a popular tourist destination in South Australia, offering abundant wildlife, wilderness , beautiful beaches and of course, kangaroos.
This artwork would work well paired up with another piece from this series and is varnished and ready to hang.
